Canberra Cross Country Club Upcoming Talks

14 June 17 – Phillip Moses – Snow Shoeing from Canberra to Kosciuszko

Phillip will speak on his adventures snow shoeing in winter from Canberra to Kosciuszko through the Brindabella’s and Kiandra. He looks at the history of winter touring in the Brindabella’s to Kosciuszko and corporates some Aboriginal knowledge and stories of the High Country.

28 June 17  – Professor Will Stefen – Climate Change & Sustainability talk

Professor Will Stefen is one of Australia’s foremost climate change Scientists and researchers at the Australian National University, Canberra. He has featured several times this year on radio interviews and has very kindly agreed to come and talk on Climate Change, specifically in South East Australia including the Snowies. This is a golden opportunity to hear the latest information on this very important subject that affects us all.

Both talks will be held at the Hughes Community Centre, arrive by 7:30pm for a 7.45pm start.
